About Tamblyn Borton
Journalist, Public Agency Staff, and Project Manager
Tamblyn Borton’s career paths have taken a number of turns. She spent many years as a journalist, reporting on real estate, land use, and local government topics. She also spent time as a public agency staff member. She served as a contract planner with the city of Vallejo and a staff planner with the California Energy Commission. As a project manager for Sutter County, Tamblyn Borton prepared a 1,500-page administrative draft environmental impact report for a controversial project. She also served as project manager for the Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency, where she prepared a subsequent environmental impact report after a levee failure.
Tamblyn Borton handled permits for Star Construction LLC in Cincinnati, Ohio. She currently draws on her extensive background in horse riding and husbandry in her consultancy work as an equine farm specialist. She is also in the process of starting a nonprofit devoted to old and injured cats. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, horseback riding and practicing meditation and yoga.
